Carbon Disclosure Project
We have been responding to the Carbon Disclosure Project's (CDP's) extensive catalog of questions since 2009, a process linked to a public ranking of our company. In the most recent assessment published in 2015, Continental yet again achieved a record high with 94 points in the automotive supply industry group. The CDP is an initiative by over 822 institutional investors who manage assets of more than $95 trillion (2014). It is a non-profit-organization that wants to create more transparency regarding environmentally damaging emissions and develop corresponding corporate strategies.
Once a year, the CDP requests data and information on environmental protection from listed companies on behalf of its investors. This applies in particular to the management’s assessment of climate change and its effects on the company, the systematic recording of CO2 emissions, and the management’s strategies for reducing these emissions.
