Pay and Benefits
The variable pay system combines the goal of value creation and the success of Continental with compensation for the corporation’s senior executives. On par with the market standard, remuneration is based on the corporation’s control variables and is straightforwardly structured, goal-oriented and transparent. The remuneration scheme applies the principle of performance-based pay.
The pension system is undergoing fundamental changes. Demographic shifts are imposing an increasing burden on state pension systems in Germany and in many other markets where Continental also operates. Company and private pension schemes have thus risen in importance.
