BASICS Award for innovation and personal responsibility

Every year since 2003, Continental has been presenting the “BASICS Award” to employees or teams who have shown commitment to the company through exemplary initiatives and exceptional dedication in implementing the corporate guidelines.

Projects can be submitted in three categories derived from the BASICS:

  1. Stakeholders (e.g. in the areas of partnerships, shareholder value, employees, corporate responsibility),
  2. Products and services (quality, technological leadership and innovation) and
  3. Corporate culture (culture of high performance, cooperation and teamwork, learning and knowledge management).

An international jury made up of managers and employee representatives from the company decide on who to present the award to. The awards are presented to the winners by the Executive Board members at an annual conference of the upper management.
