The program starts with a welcome week in Hanover, Germany, where all HR Graduates from all over the world will get together.

The first assignment will be at your home location. From experiencing daily business operations at your local HR department, you will become equipped with the necessary knowledge in the field of HR and the major business processes of internal HR customers. This will be supplemented with soft skill and basic business trainings.

The next two rotations can be designed flexibly depending on your individual plans and business demands. You will be assigned to several HR topics during the second and third rotations, and get for example an insight into central functions or international plants and market locations. During the assignment to a central function, you will be given the opportunity to be located in one of our global or regional centers and will obtain skills and knowledge either at one of the Centers of Expertise or at a HR Service Center (Talent Management and Organizational Development, Compensation & Benefits, International Mobility, HR Controlling, etc.) For the international plant and market aspect, you could be assigned to an HR department at one of our worldwide plants or market organizations to gain a holistic picture of our business.

The major focus of your fourth rotation will be on-the-job training to gain final practical experience for the upcoming placement. Throughout the program, you will receive adequate training and business mentoring. You will sharpen your skills and gain practical experience for the final placement.

What could your future look like?

As a member of the Continental HR Graduate Program, you will be employed full-time with an unlimited contract. After the two-year program, you will continue your career at the placement you were being prepared for during the fourth rotation. This placement varies depending on the business needs of your country and location as well as your individual strengths as a result of the program. You could, for example, become a HR Business Partner or work as a HR Specialist for a certain topic. Your cross-divisional and multicultural experience will enable you to assume more responsibilities in HR – to let your ideas shape the future of Human Relations at Continental.
