Meet the Purchasing Challenge (MPC) Program at a glance

The worldwide MPC Program offers you a unique working experience at Corporate Purchasing within Continental. As a member of a multi-cultural business team you can gain a holistic picture of different business topics related to several Purchasing fields. In 10 months you will have the opportunity to shape your own presentation skills, Project Management experiences, develop a professional global network and chart your own journey of discovery through the Purchasing world of Continental guided by experienced colleagues, experts and mentors.


What can you expect?

During your MPC Program you will work on a real business case which will enhance your Purchasing knowledge and soft skills. You will get a serious overview of requirements of internal and external customers as well as a good understanding of our business processes. You will be able to build a personal network and make a big step forward towards a successful career as a Purchasing professional.

 

Step by Step guide

The program participants are selected among the highest potentials identified within our community, who are selected from all over the world.

You will attend presentation and project management trainings as well as working directly with your project sponsor. At the end of the week first results you are expected to present the first results to the entire management team.

After this week you will go back to your home location and will work on the projects together with your international team to be able to present interim status during the duration of the program. 

Throughout the program,you will be supported by project sponsors that are available for any questions at any time.

As a member of the MPC Program you will be gaining visibility towards the top management which will support further career steps within Corporate Purchasing. Besides the enhancement of business understanding, you will also develop your individual skills. Your cross divisional and multicultural environment experience will enable you to take more responsibilities in Purchasing – to let your ideas shape the future of Corporate Purchasing at Continental.
