Continental presented its latest technological highlights for the agricultural industry from November 12 to 18 at Agritechnica (Hall 3, booth F19) in Hanover.
It showcased a range of products from predictive maintenance solutions to camera systems, displays and catalytic converters right the way through to tires.
“Data are our seeds for the future”
Efficient farms, connected fields, automated tractors – at Agritechnica, Hans-Jürgen Duensing, a member of the Executive Board of the ContiTech division with responsibility for the Off-Highway Initiative, and Nikolai Setzer, a member of the Executive Board of the Tire division, spoke about the trends and challenges facing agriculture in the future and unveiled products and systems that provide answers to the megatrends of digitalization, automation and sustainability.
“Data are our seeds for the future“, emphasises Duensing. „They are the keys to predictive maintenance concepts and are becoming increasingly important for our customers worldwide. They increase efficiency, reduce idle time, enhance operational dependability and thereby significantly cut costs.“ Enhanced efficiency is also a priority for the new premium radial tires, designed for use in the agricultural industry, and which will have their world premiere at Agritechnica. “Having the right tires is essential, for the productivity of agricultural machines, and also for the quality of the work they do,” said Nikolai Setzer. “With our agricultural tires, we therefore consequently expand our complete range in the long term.”
