In Thailand, many young people are already able to drive motorized vehicles, which means they are exposed to the dangers of road traffic. Safety on the road is a real concern for Continental. In collaboration with the Rayong highway patrol, Continental employees have been running a safety course for young drivers for the last four years.
Select staff and members of the Thai highway patrol give workshops where they explain to students in detail what they should look out for in road traffic. For example, how they can protect themselves and others from potential dangers, what distinguishes a safe vehicle from an unsafe one, and how important it is to wear a helmet when riding a moped or motorcycle.
"Safety always comes first": that's the motto of the workshop for high school students in the Rayong province. The course aims to raise the students' awareness of road safety.
