Continental Technical Competition 2019 - Choose your challenge!

1. Cybersecurity

Because Cybersecurity is one of the hottest topics of the automotive world, this spring, we give you a license to hack! During the competition you will need to find vulnerabilities in a system using a set of tools available at that moment.

Each vulnerability is rated with points depending on the difficulty of finding it. The participant with the most points wins.

·        1st Prize: 700 EUR

·        2nd Prize: 500 EUR

·        3rd Prized: 300 EUR

2. Connected Electric Vehicles

To reach the maximum level of automated driving the vehicles must be able to connect with each other and ensure driver safety. On top, the environment protection must be taken into consideration.

We dare to bring topics such as V2X/vehicle to infrastructure, electrification or battery optimization, all in one challenge.

Using the given Framework (SW + HW), applied on a mini vehicle (pre-built line followers) provided by us at the event, your team must reach the end of the track with a limited energy supply.

How you win? Reach the finish line! Multiple point system will be set up in place.

 ·       1st Prize: 700 EUR

·        2nd Prize: 500 EUR

·        3rd Prized: 300 EUR

Given the complexity of the challenge there will be some pre-selection steps.

3. Production Flow Optimization

Industry 4.0 takes production to a whole new level by integrating smart technologies in the production area.

During the competition you will get the chance to optimize a simulated production line using lean tools and defined criteria (multi agent, self-organized system, used methods, etc ). Expect to see Cobots and AGVs around 😊

Winners will be determined based on the optimization performance, considering layout, time & innovation.

·        1st Prize: 700 EUR

·        2nd Prize: 500 EUR

·        3rd Prized: 300 EUR

There is a lot of hustle and bustle around the topic of Autonomous Driving. Let’s put everything on the table within a Debate Challenge.

The registered participants will be split into two teams (Pro and Con).

Each team must prepare and present arguments to given topics related to ethical aspects of autonomous driving.

Jury decides winning team based on quality & number of arguments, interaction and persuasion skills.

This is an extra challenge for students registered to at least one of the other challenges.

A surprise award is waiting for you if you accept our debate challenge!
